1960年生于美國密歇根州。
1979年畢業于京都Hiyoshigaoka工藝高中陶瓷系
1984年獲大阪藝術大學文學士學位
1986年美國加州奧克蘭加州工藝美術學院美術碩士
1986-1989阿奇?布雷基金會駐院藝術家
1989年回到日本，在滋賀縣政府滋垣陶瓷文化園籌備辦公室工作。
從那時起，一直在組織和運營Shigaraki陶瓷文化公園的常駐藝術家，直到2021年。
在過去的幾年里，一直在組織一系列與駐館藝術家運作和文化管理有關的研討會。
2018年，他在Shigaraki建立了私人Share Studio，名為“Shigaraki Share Studio”。

1989 Back to Japan and started to work at the Preparation Office of the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in the Shiga- Pref. Government.
Since then he has been organizing and operating the Artist in Residency at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park until 2021.
For last few years he has been organizing series of the symposium related to the Operation of the Artist in Residency and Cultural Administration.
In 2018 he has established a private Share Studio, in Shigaraki named “Shigaraki Share Studio”.
